Hindi diwas being celebrated across the country today

 

Celebrated on September 14 every year, Hindi Divas is an annual day celebration of the Hindi language. The celebration of Hindi Diwas first began in 1949 when the Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the official language of the Republic of India. Today, President Ram Nath Kovind will present the annual Rajbhasa Awards for the Year 2016-17. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Ministers of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir and Kiren Rijiju will also be present. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will deliver an address to the nation. On this occasion, the Department of Official Language in collaboration with the C-DAC will release a mobile app, Leela for learning India language with Artificial Intelligence. The celebration of Hindi Diwas holds a lot of significance in the country and stands as a patriotic reminder to Indian populations of their common roots and unity.
