ISRO Unveils Polarimetry Doppler Weather Radar At Sriharikota Spaceport

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) inaugurated the Polarimetry Doppler Weather Radar at Sriharikota spaceport near Chennai. The S–Band Polarimetry Doppler Weather Radar facility was launched at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota by Isro Chairman Dr K Sivan. The radar has been developed by Bharat Electronics Ltd, Bengaluru under ToT (Training of Trainers) from ISRO.

India’s First ‘Smart Fence’ Pilot Project Inaugurated

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated two “smart” border fencing pilot projects under the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) programme at Jammu’s International Border (IB). These two pilot projects under CIBMS will go a long way in strengthening border security infrastructure. The project is touted to be the government’s important measure in border security.
